John Paul Acton, 47, of Rocheport died Monday, Jan. 1, 2007, at University Hospital.
Services, conducted by the Rev. Rick Frost, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Nilson Funeral Home in Columbia.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
John was born Sept. 23, 1959, in Gardena, Calif., to Owen and Katherine Gray Acton.
He married Lori Miller on May 18, 2002, in Moberly. He was a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Katherine Acton of Rocheport; his wife, Lori, of Rocheport; his daughter, Megan Acton of Columbia, stepsons Michael Smith of Montgomery City and Matthew Miller of Rocheport; three stepdaughters, Tara Smith of Centralia and Haley Smith and Katie Miller, both of Rocheport; one brother, Allen Acton of Columbia; sister Linda Waite of Columbia; and two grandchildren, Justin Ulrick and Austin Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Acton; and two brothers, Jason and Walter Acton.
