---------------------
This memorial is dedicated to an amazing woman. One who as a young widow with one child, a young widow who lost her husband in WWI, found the courage to come to the United States and begin life anew.
Rosina Aiello Marasco married Nicola Muro in the mid-1920s. She then raised not only her son John but all of Nicola's very young children from his first marriage. Rose took care of all of them and as years progressed she had 5 more children by Nicola.
In all Rosina became mother to 12 children. She was known as an excellent homemaker. All of the children grew up loving each other and calling each other brother and sister. Rosina and Nicola wanted the children to be as one family.
Her contribution to the cohesiveness of the Muro family always remains with me as an example of great strength. She was known to be strict but the final results speak for themselves. All the children went on to make good marriages and choices of professions.
---------------------------
The bodies of Rose and her husband Nick were originally laid to rest in East McKeesport. Their son Peter and his wife Angie bought space for them at the Mausoleum of Calvary Cemetery in Pittsburgh where they are now interred. Current burial location confirmed on 3/7/2014 by Claudia Lane Muro, wife of Robert Muro who is the grandson of the late Nick and Rose Muro. Followed up by call to Calvary Cemetery.
