John J. Altemus, 87, died Tuesday.
Born in Easton PA, he lived in Paterson, moving here in 1967, Mr. Altemus was a machinist for General Electric Co., Paterson and Fair Lawn 20 years, retiring in 1973. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony's R. C. Church, Hawthorne.
Surviving are his wife, the former, Elizabeth Mayers; two sons, John Jr. of Fulks Run VA and David of Fair Lawn, and a grandson.
