Funeral services for Burley Potts, 69, of Hulbert, are 2:00 pm, Monday January 5, 2015, at Green Funeral Home. Officiating will be the Reverend Sam Keener, Bobby Botts, and the Minister Dale Parker. Serving as pallbearers are Gary Foster, Junior Robbins, Will Bookout, Mac Gordon, John Anderson, and Bobby Mayfield. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Welch, and Titus Blanket. Internment will be held in the Lost City Cemetery under the care of Green Funeral Home.

Burley Edwin Potts was born in Hulbert, OK on May 16, 1945, to John Clayton and Genevieve (Stevens) Potts. he passed away on December 31, 2014, in Tahlequah, OK.

Burley enjoyed his free time riding his mule in the woods, hunting game, and mushrooms

He had worked as a laborer in the construction field and retired as a golf course groundskeeper at Sequoyah State Park.

Burley was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife Linda of the home, two children, his daughter Jeanetta Wilson and husband Scott of Muskogee, OK, and son David Marrs of Tulsa, OK, his two grandchildren, Jace and Brinley, five brothers and sisters, Wilma Henson, Sue Comer, Jack Potts, Terry Potts, Brady Potts, as well as many extended family members, friends, and loved ones.
