Michael was a member of the Caney Fork Baptist Church, a mechanic and carpenter. He is survived by his wife Sue of Sedgewickville; mother Charlette of Sedgewickville; son Justin Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; brother and sister-in-law Stephen and Carole Abernathy, of Sedgewickville; one grandson Jacob. He was preceded in death by his father.
