Of Fredericktown passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Mineral Area Medical Center in Farmington, Missouri. She was born on December 17, 1925 in Village Creek, Missouri, a daughter of Edward and Emma Caroline (Ellison) Whitledge. On March 29, 1943 she was united in marriage to Carl Adams, he preceded her in death on November 9, 1999. She is also preceded by her parents and son - Medford Adams, daughter - Carol Eads, granddaughter - Melissa Nole, great-grandson - Braydon Adams and 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by one son - Richard Adams of Fredericktown and 2 grandchildren that she raised as her own - Brandon Adams and Chandra Youngblood; other grandchildren includes: Raina Byrd, Nicolas Adams and Cassie Adams, Roger Eads, Kyle Eads, Jason Eads and Tiffanie Eads; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In her earlier years Octa worked as a waitress but mostly she was a homemaker enjoying taking care of her family; she was of the Methodist faith.
