Jack Louis Buckner passed away in Pipe Creek, on Saturday, Jan. 18. He was born in Elliott, Iowa on Dec. 29, 1930 to Harold Louis and Pearl Harding Buckner.

Jack graduated from the University of Texas. While in school, he worked for Robert Kanewske Gas Station. Jack also worked for the Austin Chamber of Commerce and moved to San Antonio to work for AH Robins Pharmaceutical Company. He retired as a sales representative for Pfizer Pharmaceutical.

Jack was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Grand Lodge of Texas Prospect Hill #1247, American Legion Post 410 in Lake Hills and the Shriners International.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Florence H. Buckner, and his son, Bryan Buckner.

Jack was predeceased by his sister, Ann Wood, in 2000, and brother Fred Buckner in 1973.

A celebration of Jack's life will take place at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 28, in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Sunset Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jack's name to a charity of choice.
