Andrew Lee Cannon, 82, of Hearne died on Thursday April 21, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, April 25 at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., also at Memorial Funeral Home in Hearne.

He was both April 5, 1934 in Burleson County, Texas. Before he retired, Andrew "Andy" worked at Texas A&M for the Department of the Army, and devoted his professional life to the men and women of the Corps of Cadets. Later, he worked in the Student Financial Aid department. He also worked for the Athletic Department as a supervisor of ushers for football and basketball games. In the seventies, he was involved in Little League baseball, first as a coach, and then as an administrator.

He was a devoted husband, son, father, and brother, with a tireless commitment to family.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, 'B' and Lutie Cannon, and by his wife, Margaret, as well as an infant son, William Wray Cannon.

He is survived by his children, Sandra Tessitore and Drew Cannon, both of Hearne, as well as his siblings Janie Mathews, Billy Joe Cannon, and Judy Hughson; and six granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
