Viola V. (nee Gale) Darnley, age 65, of the City of Tonawanda, Sunday, September 6, 2009 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. A lifelong resident of Tonawanda, she was the wife of Donald Darnley, who died in 1991; and was the daughter of the late Dudley W., Jr. and Marian (nee Fitzsimmons) Gale. Viola had been employed in the Cafeteria at Bell Aircraft for 17 years and also in the Deli Department at Top's Market on Young Street in Tonawanda. Viola and her husband, Donald, owned and operated Darnley Auto Sales in North Tonawanda and also Tri City Used Cars in Tonawanda. She is survived by two daughters, Michelle L. Gramitt and Candace M. (Yasser Ayadh) Darnley; and her grandson, Joshua Gramitt, all of the Town of Tonawanda; a sister, Margaret Gale of North Tonawanda; and was the sister of the late Alvira Jennings, Dudley W. Gale III and Nathaniel Gale; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan and Broad Sts.) in Tonawanda, where services will be conducted at 11 AM on Friday by the Rev. Robert J. Fink. Friends invited.
