Truitt Ford was an amazing singer. His music reflected the love of the Lord. A truly great talent.

Bio credit goes to The Haven Of Rest:

Faith, Family and Friends
These three things defined Truitt Ford's life.

St. Francis of Assisi once said, "Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words." This statement was personified in Truitt's life. His devotion and love for God was obvious to all, and was poured out daily on all who came in contact with him.

Truitt's faith was the foundation of his family life. He loved his wife, Shirley, and fervently cared for and watched over her. He raised his sons Brent and Todd to put God first, yet gave them the freedom to live their lives and learn from their mistakes. He treasured his entire family and found great joy in every opportunity to visit with them.

In his professional life, he felt tremendously blessed to be able to touch people's lives with his ministry, working with the Haven of Rest for 35 years, sharing the love of God with millions through song and counsel.

Truitt was a loyal and caring friend, whose friendships have lasted a lifetime. He cherished opportunities to sit and visit with them, telling jokes and recalling stories.

He loved meeting people and making new friends, Even the most brief of acquaintances left Truitt's presence feeling loved and valuable.

There is a saying, "Stop and smell the roses." For Truitt's life it was "Stop and cherish the people."

Truitt loved his life devoted to faith, family and friends. Now, his legacy lives on in all who had the privilege to know him.
