Baird Lee "Sonny" Sibley, Sr., born March 13, 1934 went to be with his Lord and Savior May 10, 2014.
Sonny was a current member of North Park Baptist Church and previously a long standing member of Greenwood Village Baptist Church. He was involved in the Grain Inspection Business at the Port of Houston for 50 years and founded Coastal Grain Inspection Services. Sonny was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years, and was affiliated with Harris County Precinct 4 Law Enforcement; as well as an avid golfer. Most important to Sonny were his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and his family.
Sonny is preceded in death by: sons: David L. Sibley & Gregory E. Sibley; his parents; 3 sisters & 3 brothers.
Left to cherish his precious memories: loving wife of 62 years, Georgia Sibley; children: Baird L. Sibley, Jr. & wife Debbie, Deborah K. Schoppe & husband Keith, Connie J. Grein & husband Melvin, Duwayne L. Sibley & wife Julie; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be Tue., May 13th from 5-8pm. Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Wed., May 14th at the Grand Chapel of Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
