Dale Ross King died June 12, 2003 at Providence Hospital in Centralia, WA as the result of a car accident. He was born Dec. 9, 1936 to Ross and Mabel King in Tenino, WA.
He was the youngest of four children. He attended Bucoda and Tenino Schools and enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation.
In 1963 he married Lorre Streeter and moved to the rural Chehalis area, where they have resided for forty years. Dale was a log scaler for 35 years retiring from Weyerhauser in 1998.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father and a sister Violet Toskey.
He is survived by his wife Lorre, two sisters, Iris Smith, Tenino, Mavis King, Auburn. Dale is also survived by 5 children, Terri Thurman, Tim King, Shawn King and wife Kelley, all of Chehalis; Lisa King of Centralia and Jason King of Las Vegas, NV; 7 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, June 16 at 11:00 A.M. at Forest Grove Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Newell-Hoerling's Mortu-ary, Centralia, WA.
