NOTE, JUNE 2021: I am specifically posting this to Jen's page, as hers is the one of the four family members who receives the most comments, messages and so forth - TY for remembering this family with your visits and words. I have recently had it brought to my attention (more than once) that the victims of the Andrus murder/suicide should not have their father's memorial page linked to their own...I am conflicted myself, Guys, but if you read the bio information on each page, you will note that Jeana's own father asked that Mr. Andrus "be included in every sense of the word." Also, l recently received a message asking that Mr. Andrus be sponsored; as you will see, we did indeed sponsor him. I just wanted to mention this because even though I do not always spend much time on this site due to health issues for both my son and myself, l do actively manage my pages, read ALL messages and requests regarding them and truly care that each person is remembered in love and light. TY for your thoughts and, again, TY for remembering this family.

DuPage authorities state that David Andrus was the instigator in a tragic family murder-suicide on June 11, 2013. Dead are Mr. Andrus, his wife Jeana and their daughters, Jennifer and Jessica.

As relatives were completing funeral arrangements Thursday, the father of Jeana Andrus said his son-in-law will be laid to rest next week alongside his wife and two children.

"All together," said John Infanti. "That's the way my daughter would have wanted it, and that's the way I want it... Something happened to make him snap and... a lifetime disappears. But he's not that person. They're still a family and they'll be together."

David Andrus is described as a hardworking person who, along with Jeana, was dedicated to daughters Jessica, 22, and Jennifer, 16. However, he was fired from a Willowbrook battery management products company the morning of the murder-suicide, the company said. Andrus, 50, was terminated for "cause" but officials refrained from releasing details.

Jennifer Lyn Andrus was the younger daughter of the family, and is being remembered as quiet but friendly; again and again, shocked friends, family and neighbors are being quoted as stating that there was no warning that such a tragedy would befall the family, and that 'Jen' will be deeply missed by all.

Youtube tributes drive home the impact of Jennifer's loss; her Facebook page remains up, showing a smiling young girl, now gone. Jen would have graduated high school in 2015.

"She was so special," a neighbor said. "They all were."

Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gerharz-Cappetta Funeral Home, 501 State St., Lemont. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 305 Lemont St., Lemont.
