Great-Grandma Alday was quite a character. When we were young children, she would stealthily make mewing noises like a kitten and when we went to investigate, she would take out her false teeth and clack them at us and we would screech and run away. Then a little while later, she would do it all over again;
and we would too because it was fun to let her scare us.
When she was 70 years old, she bought a bright red party dress. She kept it in a box under her bed and every time we would visit, she would bring it out and remind us that she wished to be buried in it "because I don't want anyone to be sad for me at my funeral as I have lived a good and full life".
Her wish was honored 30 years later.
