Otto Kniess, 82, Town of Stettin, died at 6:45 o'clock last evening in a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held by the Rev. Arnold Beawer Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the Lohr Funeral Home at Marathon and at 2 o'clock in St. John's Lutheran Church, Town of Hamburg. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The body will be in the funeral home tomorrow evening.
He was born in the Town of Hamburg Sept. 2, 1878, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. August Kniess, and farmed there until his retirement 15 years ago when he went to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Klockziem, in the Town of Stettin. He married Marie Schult in the Town of Main, May 28, 1904. She died Jan. 21, 1943.
Surviving are a son, Herman Kniess, Town of Hamburg; three daughters, Mrs. Klockziem, Mrs. Walter Schmidt, Town of Marathon, and Mrs. Rudolph Natzke, Kenosha; two sisters, Mrs. Matilda Bartenhagen, Boise, Idaho, and Mrs. Emma Pepke, Merrill; 21 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
