Raphael E. Fink Sr.
Raphael E. Fink Sr., 75, of Leavenworth, passed away Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., after a sudden illness.
He was born the son of Herman and Bertha (Schrick) Fink on Sept. 27, 1928, in Jefferson County, Kan.
He married Sylvia Noll in May 1964 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in rural Jefferson County, Kan.
He worked as an inspector for Ford Motor Company for more than 20 years.
He is survived by a son, Raphael E. Fink Jr., Jefferson City, Mo.; a brother, Herman E. Fink, Stayton, Ore.; a sister, Mildred I. Fink, Leavenworth; a daughter-in-law, Amber S. Fink, Jefferson City, Mo.; and two granddaughters, Raeann N. Fink and Madison E. Fink, both of Jefferson City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by a son, David M. Fink; his parents; brothers William H. Fink and Leonard B. Fink; and sister Rita M. Fink.
A visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at the Belden-Sexton-Sumpter Funeral Home, 500 Oak St., Leavenworth; 682-1614. A Mass of Christian burial officiated by Father David Fontaine will follow at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
