Mrs. Myrtle Brown Passed Away Friday
Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Brown who died at the family home in Council Bluffs April 22 were held at the Cutler Funeral home there. The pastor of the Christian church of Council Bluffs had charge of the services. Interment was made in the Silver City cemetery. The pall bearers were nephews of Mrs. Brown.
The following obituary was given:
Myrtle Timmer was born at Republic, Kansas Feb. 26, 1876 and passed away at the family home in Council Bluffs, April 22, 1938. She was married to Robert Brown July 27, 1898 and to this union was born six children, one having died in infancy. She leaves five children, John, Pauline, Edwin, Jeanne and Gomer, five grandchildren, several sisters and brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. A precious one from us in gone.
A voice we loved is stilled:
A place is vacant in our home
When never can be filled.
God is His wisdom has recalled
The boon His love has given
And tho the lady slumbers here
Her soul is safe in heaven.
