She started her career in San Diego working for Convair until she met and married Jim Abraham, the love of her life, in 1959. She spent the next 50 plus years working as a homemaker while traveling the world as the spouse of a career Marine Officer until they retired in San Diego. She enjoyed traveling and cruising around the world with Jim, and later in life with family and friends. Her charitable work included volunteering in several organizations including Navy Relief, Marine Corps Wives Clubs, and Caridad International. She loved family gatherings, holidays, birthdays, meeting friends for lunch, and of course cheering on the USC Trojans.
