Martha Lilian Allen was born in Launceston on 13 Oct 1873 to William Henry Allen, jeweller, and his wife Martha (May) Millington. Siblings were: Albert William Jex born 22 Jun 1867; Vincent Arthur 18 Nov 1870; Millington John 23 Nov 1875 and a female 23 Apr 1877. Miss L Allen was a soprano in the Exhibition Choir in 1891-92. She died on 6 Jan 1943 aged 69 and was cremated at Carr Villa.
