Rye Damon Blanchard passed on Thursday morning, July 11, 2013, to be with his Lord, his mom and his grandparents from complications following open heart surgery at Kootenai Health. Born in Orange, Calif., July 26, 1955, he graduated from Western High School in Anaheim, Calif.
He traveled the world with Ringling Brother's Circus for 10 years and then came to Coeur d'Alene in the mid-1980s to be near his mom and dad. He worked in concrete for 25 years locally and was employed with the Post Falls Street Department at the time of his death. He was a past president of the Hayden Lake and Post Falls Eagles and was currently a member of the Coeur d'Alene Eagles.

He leaves behind son Tarl; twins Trace and Telima; as well as his granddaughter, Faith. He also left: his father, Jack; brother Dale; sisters, Robin, Bridget and Katri; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He will be dearly missed by many, but especially his extended family. There will be no formal services per his request, a graveside service will be held at a future date.
