Fifth child of Kevin and Brea McClain of Kernersville.
Born with a rare disease, Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation (AKA CDG). Joel had a beautiful spirit and was a true fighter; in his short life he made great strides and inspired others. Joel died of liver failure, caused by a prolonged case of pneumonia.
