She was born in Spartanburg, S.C., the daughter of the late Harry and Beatrice (Robbs) Rice. Harriet was a loan officer for fifteen years at People's Bank. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Swanzeta Rice, Cheryl Rice-Lewis and Henry Hunter, four step-children, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, husband William Hunter Jr.
