She earned a bachelor's degree of science in education from East Texas State University and loved teaching. She was a devoted Christian lady loving mother and Nana. There was always a special place in her heart for her children and grandchildren, was their prayer warrior and best friend. She always cared for the sick and elderly to include her father her mother and her husband Harvey after surgery. She is survived by her husband Harvey Alford, daughters Deborah Driskell and husband Randy, Bethany Goerdel and husband Clayton, Angela Neustifter and husband Dan, sister Virginia Long and husband Ardis, grandchildren Rachel, Rebecca, Elizabeth, Ethan, Hannah, Benjamin, Michael, Isaac, and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Bruce and Delilah Payne and infant granddaughter Joy Marie Driskell. Friends and guests may sign the register and visit Joyce on Monday September 11, 2006 from 1:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M.; Joyce's family will be receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M...
