Mrs. Anna Geisdorff Andrews, also known as Anna Tremain Geisdorff, a resident of Sonora for her last two years, passed away in her sleep at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Charlotte Kibby, in Sonora early Friday morning. She was 47 and had been in ill health for several years.
Born in Montana on November 30, 1905, her heritage was American Indian, and she was of the Crow tribe.
Mrs. Andrews was survived by two daughters, Mary Chapman and Marilynne Andrews, of Norwalk in Southern California; a son, Fred Andrews, of Glendale; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Moraga of Arizona and Mrs. Edna Carpenter of Alaska, a brother, Robert Geisdorff of Tuolumne City, and an aunt, Mrs. Kibby of Sonora.
On January 31, 1923, Anna married Leon Fichera in Santa Ana, California.
Anna's father's name was Frederick Christian Geisdorff, and her mother's maiden name was Mary Adelia Bebee.
Anna's paternal grandfather, Francis (Frank) Geisdorff, was born in Parchin Or, Parchim, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany and passed away in 1890 in Bozeman, Montana. Her paternal grandmother was born in Montana in 1858 and also passed away in 1890 in Bozeman, Montana. Anna's father was born in Montana October 13, 1871.
