Thank you so much for the note. I am married to Edward Louis Kay. His uncle was Rulon Evan Jones. He was married to Elsie Roundy. Ed actually went to Rulon’s funeral with our daughter Heidi at the Masonic Lodge in Salt Lake.

His documents have shown him as Rulon Evan as well as Evan Rulon. I just found his birth certificate in familysearch.org today and he is listed as Rulon Evan, so I have changed his name in new.familysearch.org. If you are able to sign in to familysearch.org/familytree, you will see the documentation that I have listed on Rulon and his family.
Rulon actually lived with my husband’s family for a short time during the depression in Eureka, Utah and worked with some miners in the Chief Consolidated mine, in 1937 and 1938. When he left Eureka he went to work for W. W. Clyde in Missoula, Montana. When he returned to Utah he went to work for George Eckles, who was the CEO at First Security Bank. He started the Time Way Finance Co., a subsidiary of First Security Bank.
My husband remembers that he was an uncle that he had a lot of contact with though out his young years in Eureka and when Ed returned from his tour of duty in the Army in 1954, he bought the car Rulon had been driving for First Security Bank.

Edward Louis KAY, his nephew, told the story by Rulon that "he was a fine kind of an uncle for a little boy like me to have because all you do is read, read, read." During the depression, Rulon lived with his sister Gwendolyn JONES KAY in Eureka, Utah and worked in the Chief Consolidated Mines. He worked on a leased face on a hard rock mine with others to try to survive. Edward's wife, Judith Ann BOWDEN KAY remembers the first time she met Rulon was on a family reunion in Utah. He whipped out a picture of himself naked on a bear skin rug. He was just a baby at the time. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He joined the Masonic Order when he lived in Missoula, Montana, while working for W W Clyde, a Utah contractor. It was a water/irrigation pipeline. His funeral was held in the Masonic Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. Edward Louis Kay, his nephew and Edward's daughter who was a student at BYU both attended the funeral. It was attended by many prominent Salt Lake City citizens.
