She was born March 2, 1926 at Minneola to Ira Emmett and Rilla (Rakes) Pittman. She married Bruce Ferguson on May 29, 1946 at Cimarron. He survives.
She taught school at Sitka for two years. She was the owner and operator of Model Beauty Shop for 59 years.
She was a member of the Cimarron United Methodist Church, Cimarron.
Other survivors include two sons, Kent Ferguson, Cimarron, and Bob Ferguson, Palm Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Catherine Hicks, Norton, and Bonnie Woeppel, Kansas City, Kan.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
