CIMARRON-Robert L. Dunn, 82, died Friday, September 21, 2007 at Amarillo, Texas. He was born on April 6, 1925 at Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Ed and Ruth(Hoskinson) Dunn.
Mr. Dunn was raised in southwest Kansas. He graduated from Cimarron High School in 1943. Robert married Lura Belle Brightup on August 10, 1947 in Liberal. He helped his father in farming their land in Kansas and Colorado. Mr. Dunn also worked as a custom harvester and bricklayer. After his children completed their high school educations, he began driving truck and drove until his death. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was a member of Cimarron Church Of The Nazarene.

Survivors include: his wife, Lura Belle Dunn of Cimarron; four daughters, Zerell Cook and husband David of Choctah, Oklahoma, Muriel Schmidt and husband Kent of Ingalls, Alice Fox and husband Edward of Wichita, Carol Baltazor and husband Dale of Waxahachie, Texas; two sons, Albert Dunn of Nashville, Tennessee and Mike Dunn of Farmington, Arkansas; two brothers, Duane Dunn and wife Omajean of Calhan, Colorado and Clinton Dunn and wife Merleta of Westminster, Colorado; and one sister, Mary Jane Bieshaar and husband Carl of Westminster, Colorado. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Dunn; one brother, Donald Dunn; and one grandson, Russell Lee Schmidt.
