Frank W Hinsdale formerly an old time woolen manufacturer of Hinsdale Mass died at Pittsfield at the age of 80 years He was born in Hinsdale Sept 7 1826 For many years he was interested in the woolen business with his brother James H under the firm name of Hinsdale Brothers They had a wide reputation In 1897 the company was reorganized as the Hinsdale Woolen Company of which Mr Hinsdale was the president but the change did not bring prosperity to the firm and since last spring the mills have been shut down
Mr Hinsdale moved to Pittsfield some years ago and remained a resident of that place until the time of his death
