Postmaster and Veteran of WWI died Saturday evening in Pittsfield General Hospital, he was 68 years old. A native of Hinsdale, Mr. Galliher was the son of Michael J. and Brigid Hickey. Appointed in 1951 by President Truman to the local postmastership, he had previously served as a route mail carrier in the city of Pittsfield. He is a past-commander of Benjamin F. Sullivan American Legion Post Dalton, Mass. He leaves his wife, the former Marcia White and a son George M. Jr.
