Inscription on her headstone reads: " Mary dau. of Foster Bambrough. Died July 31, 1881. Aged 17 years. 'My good people as you pass by/As you are now so once was I/As I am now you soon must be/Prepare yourselves to follow me'" Mary's grave is the only one still marked of the original burials (about 50) in this old Colorado ghost town at the top of Kebler Pass between Somerset and Crested Butte. Irwin, originally called Ruby Camp, had 5,000 inhabitants at its height during the ruby silver boom. Founded in 1879, the town was virtually deserted by 1885.
