Mayvene was born to Arley Charley Manuel and Ima Jewel Jay on Feb 13, 1937 in Pumpkin Center, Alabama.

She married Carl Collins "Whistle" Chance in Fulton, Mississippi on Feb 23, 1951. They had 6 children together Carl David, Cathy, Cheryl, Charlotte, Carol and Christopher.

She passed away at home in Quinton, Alabama after a long illness with Emphysema.

She was a wonderful and very strong person, she always made everyone around her comfortable and always made you laugh!!!!
