Linda Kay Tunstall was born in Whiting, Indiana to Cash Tunstall and Ruby Fleschner Tunstall on October 23, 1951. She died in her sleep on April 1, 2009.

She Married John Biagi on July 16, 1976 in East Chicago, Indiana at Immaculate Conception Church. They had a beautiful daughter Amanda Kay, and a beautiful grandson Andrew.

Linda was employed by Whiting Public Library with 40 years of service and was head of Technical Services.

Linda was a truly a wonderful person she had a large loving heart and was always one of the first ones there for you. Our family is really not going to be the same with out her!

Obit: LINDA KAY BIAGI (nee Tunstall) Whiting, Indiana Age 57, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009. She died peacefully at her home. She was born in Whiting on October 23, 1951. She was a daughter of the late Cash and Ruby Tunstall. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, John Biagi, and her daughter Amanda (Kevin Counihan) Biagi. Linda was the proud grandmother of Andrew Patrick Counihan and her grand dog Oreo Cookie Biagi. Linda was a life-long resident of the Whiting area. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church. She graduated from Whiting High School in 1969 and received her Bachelor's degree in English from St. Joseph Calumet College in 1973. She earned her Master's degree in Library Science from Indiana University in 1986. Linda was a valued employee of the Whiting Public Library with 40 years of service to her community and was head of Technical Services. Linda leaves behind her beloved sister, Emma Garwood, and her niece, Paula (James) Koons/ Garwood. Her in laws Rosemary (Jimmie) Manuel, Billy (Bev) Manship, and Anna (Randy) Carlson and a list of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, and library patrons. Special cousins include Marcela Clutter, Shirley Hurt, Joseph Portman, Mary Pulliam, Brad and Otha Barton, Ruth Moore, Emma Cummings, Charles Cavler, Nell Johnson, Mildred Greer, Helen Huntley, Sue Boland, Barbara Vrasely. Her uncle, Albert (Linda) Fleschner and her aunt, Betty (Harold) Monroney. Preceded in death by Salvatore and Angeline Biagi. Linda was a beautiful person inside and out. She had a large loving heart and was the soul of generosity. She was a true blessing to everyone who knew her. Her love of books was only exceeded by her love of family and friends. She was an avid Barbara Streisand fan and delighted in music of all kind. Funeral Service Saturday, April 4, 2009 at 9:15 AM from the Owens-Ruzich Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 816 - 119th St. (Corner of Rt. 41 Calumet Ave. at 119th St.), Whiting to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM with Rev. John Kalicky, C. PP. S. Interment St. John Cemetery, Hammond.
