Funeral services for Mrs. Ozie Marie Bobbitt, 70, were held at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel, Thursday, March 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Minister Darwin Hunter presided, assisted by Minister Mike Gamble. Interment in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family received friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, March 8, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Bobbitt was born September 6, 1935 in Foreman, AR and passed away Monday, March 6, 2006 in Shreveport, LA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Bobbitt, Sr.; her parents, R. D. and Vera Kegley; her brothers, Edgar Kegley and John Dee Kegley; and has been joined in death with her daughter Cathy Marie Bobbitt Ashford, her grandson, Aaron Russell Bobbitt.
Mrs. Bobbitt is survived by her son, William H. "Bill" Bobbitt,Jr. and wife, Kathy; her daughters, Louise Bobbitt Glay and husband, Verne, and Carol Sue Bobbitt Presnell; her son-in-law Richard M. Ashford, her sisters, Edna Lois Black and Lillie Lansdell; her brothers, Joby Kegley, Odell Kegley, Donald Kegley, Cecil Kegley, Jim Bob Kegley, and David Kegley; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers were Nick Nichols, Charlie Bobbitt, Robert Ashford, Anthony Bobbitt, Dale Williams, and Ricky Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron Weaver and Randy Ashford.
