Mr. Alexander passed away March 15, 2013, in Tyler.
He was born Aug. 3, 1923, in Lakewood, Ohio, to Edward Everett and Martha Lash Alexander.
Richard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Ohio Wesleyan University. He loved spending time with his friends and playing golf at Hideaway for the last 30 years.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents; son, Philip Alexander; his first wife, Betty Jane Alexander; and his brother, James Alexander.
