Charles Joseph Blake, 68, of Sherman Township, died Saturday, Nov. 7, after an illness of five years.
He was born Sept. 8, 1891, in Ohio, and was married to the former Miss Dora Tucker in 1913 in Gladwin County. A resident of Gladwin County. A resident of Gladwin County most of his life, he was self employed.
He is survived by his wife, Dora; two sons, John of Flint and Ralph of Gladwin; three daughters, Mrs. Mae Riley of Flint, Mrs. Dorothy Good of Roscommon County, and Mrs. Bessie Schuler of Gladwin; four brothers, William of Flint, Adoth of Roscommon County, Milford of Traverse City, and Homer of Oscoda; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Good of Roscommon County, Mrs. Toni Wendling of Flint, and Mrs. Cora Huff of Johannesburg; 16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services where held Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home. The Rev. G. G. Lyons officiated and burial was in the Butman cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 11-11/1959
