Comedian and monologist of vaudeville, radio, films, nightclubs and musical comedy. Starred in the 1932 musical, "Hey Nonny Nonny." The son of a burlesque comedian and a musical comedy actress, Richy Craig, Jr. was a promising young comedian who wrote his own material, a rarity for his time. His routines were an influence on many up-and-coming comics of the day, including Milton Berle. His early demise was attributed to a weakened heart and a chronic illness aggravated by overwork. Survivors included his estranged wife, Edith Craig. He was interred in Kensico's National Vaudeville Association plot Dec.1, 1933. He left behind two posthumous film writing credits, comedy dialogue for "Hollywood Party" (1934) and for "Roast-Beef and Movies" (1934).
