Teacher of physical education in the Bay Village Ohio School District for fifteen years (1965-80). Most of her career was spent at Bay High School. She started the Womens' Gymnastics team there in 1974. She coached the squad to its first state championship in the 1977-78 season, which earned her the honor of Southwestern Conference Coach of the Year for that season, as well as the next. She had also chaired the health and physical education department at Bay from 1969 to 1977 and served as cheerleader advisor from 1965 to 1977. In 1980, she left Bay High to teach physical education at the Normandy and Forestview elementary schools in Bay, but was unable to complete the school year due to being diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Ms. Chiabotti was survived by her parents and sister.
