He was born to Frank & Mattie Bienek at Limerock, Tx (near Sequin). In 1925, he moved, with his parents, six brothers & sisters, to San Antonio. He worked at different jobs & learned to play the guitar & sing. He sang & played on four different radio stations on one day in the early 1930s. He played on WOAI for Liberty Mills Flour, KABC-The Early Riser Show, KONO-1933-1935 & KTSA-Saga of the Southwest. He played at the Nickle Nook with Ernest Tubb (before Ernest became well known). Mr. Bienek wrote many songs as a hobby but never recorded any professionally. He loved to play & sing country music. He married the love of his life, Cecilia Ploch, November 23, 1937. He worked at Kelly Air Force Base for 34 years, retiring in 1976. Enez was an avid hunter & fisherman. He was a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Council 4140 of the Immaculate Conception for 40 years & was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Enez was preceded in death by his beloved wife (1993), two brothers & two sisters. He is survived by a brother, Leo from Duncan, OK & sister, Pauline Gallagher (world-renowned historical romance author) of San Antonio. Also, numerous nieces & nephews.
