Burney "Clay" Acton, 48, of Clyde died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at an Abilene hospital. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2014 in the Kendrick Cemetery at Denton Valley with Dr. Toby Henson officiating under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home.

Clay was born June 11, 1965 in Austin, Texas to Burney Acton and Shirley Shipman. He attended school in Austin and moved to Clyde from Ft. Worth in 2007. Clay worked as a mechanic for Joe South Trucking.

Clay is survived by his mother Shirley of Clyde, half sister, Angela Angelo of Austin and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, all of his grandparents, and one sister Amber Acton.
