Swain Adams, 72, of Lubbock died Friday, Sept. 15, 2006 in Lubbock. He was born Aug. 28, 1934, in Barstow. Swain served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict.
He married Miriam Proctor on Dec. 18, 1960. He was an instructor for Sears Driving School in Houston, before moving to Lubbock in 2000. Currently he was an instructor at Hub City Driving School. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Quinton Edward Adams; and one brother, Dennis Adams.

Survivors include: his wife Miriam; four daughters, Kara Adams of Lubbock, Dara Flynn-Revilla and husband Mark of Lubbock, Kammie Meyer and husband Clyde of Houston, and Tamara Harrell and husband Dan of Davis, Calif.; one brother, Lonnie Adams of Omaha, Neb.; 11 grandkids; and four great grandkids.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Aldersgate Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Schafer officiating.
