Jeremy Acuff, 36, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 8, 2012 at Myers & Smith Chapel with Joe Hernandez, officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

Jeremy was born July 11, 1976 in Lamesa, Texas to Debra Lane (Armstrong) and Pete Gonzales.

He has been a lifetime resident of Big Spring.

He worked in the oilfield most of his adult life.

He is survived by his wife: Shayna Acuff of Big Spring; one son: Jack Waddell and a daughter: Molly Waddell, both of Big Spring; his parents: Debbie and Terry Chamness of Big Spring and Ricky and Cyndi Acuff of Lubbock; one brother; Joshua Acuff of New York; his sister: P.J. Westmoreland and husband Bobby of Dallas; his aunt: Millie Armstrong of Big Spring; and two uncles: David Armstrong and Wendell Armstrong, both of Big Spring; two nieces: Sarah and Leah Westmoreland and two nephews: Mathew and Luke Westmoreland.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Wanda and Ike Wasson and one uncle: John B. Armstrong.
