HORATIO GATES ABBEY, son of David and Nancy (Farnham) Abbey, born April 12, 1818, at Olive, Ulster County, N. Y.; died in New York City, September 27, 1879.

Married (2) April 27, 1863, CORDELIA BURT, born October 16, 1830; died November 29, 1895.

Children by second wife
1 - Gertrude Howard Abbey, b. March 1, 1864; resides in Brooklyn. Mrs. Reynolds collected most of the data regarding this branch of the family for this genealogy. Married Sept. 27, 1899, Bronson Post Reynolds. Child : Stuart Burt, b. Aug. 22, 1900.

2 - Bessie Burt Abbey, b. Sept. 5, 1868 ; d. July 27, 1870.
