ODESSA - Gloria Hill Allen, 73, of Odessa, passed away Friday, February 8, 2012, at home under care of Home Hospice. She was born June 18, 1939 in Bryan, TX to Jeramas Hill and Lorene Robertson. She worked at Texas Commerce Bank and Austin ISD until she retired. She belonged to 19th Street Baptist Church in Austin under Rev. M.C. Walker.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jeramas Hill and Lorene Hill Craft; and niece, Sheila Walker.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Allen and Linda Neal of Odessa, Bruce Allen of Austin, and Terry Walker and Walter Allen of Houston; sister, Betty Walker of Dale; niece, Teresa Stewart of Dale; 12 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 9 AM - 9 PM at Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013, at 2 PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. C. E. Sims officiating.
Burial will follow at the Peaceful Gardens section of the Ector County Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Martinez-Smith Funeral Chapels.
