Margaret W. Adkins, 78, of Bassett, died Friday, April 8, 2005, at her home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1926, in Stuart to Harvey Williams and Georgia Martin Williams, both deceased. She also was predeceased by her husband, Shelburne Adkins; two brothers, Harvey Williams Jr. and George Washington "Bud" Williams; and a sister, Frances Parker.
Surviving are a son, James S. Adkins of the home; a brother, Dempsey Williams of Danville; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Bassett Funeral Service with the Rev. Tracy Freeman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
