88, of Providence, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Orchard View Manor in East Providence. He was the husband of Floria Tosca (Vellucci) Bianchi. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Sisto and Theresa (Celani) Bianchi. Mr. Bianchi was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the 150th Engineer Combat Battalion and received The Purple Heart, amongst many other medals. He was employed as a draftsman at the former B.A. Ballou Company for 34 years. Vincent was the owner and operator of Rhody Variety Store in Johnston, The White Polishing Company and was an avid golfer and bowler

Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Vincent P. Bianchi and his wife Elaine of East Stroudsburg, PA and Stephen V. Bianchi and his wife Elizabeth of Warwick, RI and many nieces and nephews. Vincent was the beloved grandfather of Paul and Miles Bianchi. He was the brother of Jean Palumbo of Johnston and the late Valentino, Mario, and Sisto "Chet" Bianchi, Julia D'Amico, Anna D'Andrea and Connie La Rosa.


Funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church, Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Home and Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
