William David Wright, my Uncle Bill and my Godfather, lived in Miami, Florida, from the mid-1920's until the early 1970's. He had a long and distinguished career on the City of Miami Police Department. He retired to Albany, Georgia where he spent the remainder of his life with his beloved wife, Ethel, his daughter Patricia, her husband, Walter - and his grandchildren Paul and Penny. He was a man with tremendous humor, a vibrant wit, and a highly magnetic personality. His sister, Betty Wright Vargo, was my mother. Uncle Bill is greatly missed - but we all know he remains "on his watch" protecting us all from heaven.
