Married to William Levi (Bill) Mayfield, 1927; children: Billy Ray, Betty Jean, Alice Ruth, Clara Joyce, J.W. and Kathryn; Parents: Rudolph Olson and Singnie Johnson Olson; Christian, member First Baptist Church, Hubbard, Texas. "Our Beloved Mother" was a member of the FBC in Hubbard over 60 years. She was always known affectionally by her Sister Singnie Olson Connor and her brothers Rudolph "Rudy" Olson, Walter Olson and Sterling Olson as "Sis" but each of them looked to her in their family as "mother" after her own Mother died in childbirth of the last son of that family, David Olson. She was an amazing woman, raising six of her own children to adulthood and teaching them all about morality and rights which are the important things on this earth. She herself gave a Christian example to all her children. She was devoted to her husband Bill all her life and even unto her death. She loved flower gardens and was known throughout the Hubbard community as a "flower lady" sharing her many different kinds of flowers that she raised and nourished. She was without a doubt, as witnessed by the Pastor of the Hubbard First Baptist Church, Ricky Woodall, a bible scholar and lived it all her life. Having lived a full and productive life, she will always be missed by her family and friends who loved her.
