Albert was my paternal great-grandfather. He was born Albert Quincy Wood to George P. and Ellen (Havens) Wood. He had two sisters, Abbie (Wood) McDonald and Lillian Wood. I believe he also had an older brother named Clarence. He later added the "S" to his last name. He married Hattie Ethel Horswill (1882-1966) on August 6, 1900. The couple had six daughters: Jessie Mae Wright, Elva Bell Kothe, Edna Gladys Kemp Antijunti, Vernetta Ella Husinga, Phyllis Normaline Armagost, and Cleo Marie Koch. Albert and Hattie also had three sons: George Albert (my grandfather), Fay Alvin, and Merle LeRoy Sr.. The family lived in South Dakota and in Nebraska.
