Muriel was my paternal grandmother, the daughter of George and Nina, and mother of four children, grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 16. She was born Ethel Muriel but she must not have cared for Ethel because she made it her middle name instead. I don't remember her too well because she passed when I was still young. Grandma was a teacher, a mother of four children, and the wife of George. I remember that she loved geraniums, and she sewed. Every time I had clothing with a hole in it, I knew Grandma Muriel would make it as good as new. Grandma also knitted, and she made me a Christmas stocking that I still treasure. When I was little and my mom would go shopping, she would drop me off with my breakfast at Grandma's. Grandma would sit with me and we must have talked about lots of things, but I don't remember what. If only I could remember! Also I remember that Grandma had asthma, and she died from a heart condition. I was too upset to go to her funeral, but I stood across the street from the church and cried my heart out. I still feel her with me. I love you Grandma!
