Born and raised on Fort Apache Reservation and was a cowboy. He died of pulmonary tuberculosis and was married.

During WWI he registered for the draft saying he was married with three children and a line rider for the government Indian Service. He had a dislocated right wrist at the time he registered and lived at North Fork. His wife was named Beatrice and his children were Marcus, Rufus and Naomi.

His Indian name was Bekayelisie.
